One of my favorite things to do on a Saturday is to go to antique shops. Today, the two of my cousins and I decided to make a drive to the largest antique mall in the Southeastern United States. But before we made the one hour drive there, I had to stop and get a cup or two of coffee from a local bakery.
This 88,000 square foot antique mall is pure heaven on earth!
I love going into these shops and seeing such unique items that you wouldn't see anywhere else. One of my cousins had an obsession with tables today and pointed out nearly every table that we passed, but this particular one really stood out.
I think it was priced at eight or nine hundred dollars... so a bit over my current budget. 😌
I ended up only purchasing four items. I had some will power today y'all, I really wanted to break down and go crazy and just grab everything I could from this place!
I have been dying for a wash board and I finally found one that seemed like a reasonable price.
Did I mention it's in really good shape?
I also spotted this hanging planter. I think it may be made out of an antique porcelain stock pot, but I just loved it and thought it would look great on my front porch, which is also white! Now just to decide what kind of plant I want to put in it....
This isn't an antique, but it was on sale and this canvas will go great in my farm animal themed kitchen!
Lastly, I bought this crate. I decided to display a quilt that my great grandma made in this purchase.
My granny passed this quilt down to me.
I am already itching to go back. Do you ever go shopping and when you get home you think about all of the items you wish you would have gotten? Yeah, I am feeling that right now. However, my wallet is happy with me for not going too overboard today.
I cannot believe tomorrow is already Sunday. Weekends go by way too quickly! I may work on some projects tomorrow afternoon and share them with you all, as long as that Sunday nap doesn't hit me too hard. 😉
In the meantime, I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday!
Hi Chasity, great purchases and it looks like a wonderful place to shop and to get ideas. I was looking for a place to follow you back . . . when you get one I will be sure and follow.
